About the CRTrio

The Carolyn Ramsay Trio performs in central New Hampshire with the musical talent of Carolyn Ramsay - lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Chuck Farrell - lead guitar, and Bud Clark - bass.

For a more acoustic, folk sounding experience, the members of CRB formed the Carolyn Ramsay Trio to play to audiences looking for a softer acoustic style. If you love the style of CRB you will love listening to their music through the rich sound of acoustic instruments.

Carolyn Ramsay
Carolyn Ramsay grew up in a musical family in Canada. She began playing guitar and singing in middle school and hasn’t stopped since. Her rhythm guitar and finger picking style add to the overall sound of the band. She always wanted to sing harmony, but has now developed a vocal style of her own with deep rich tones that blend with her daughter’s higher voice beautifully. Carolyn has written several original songs and will soon be recording band versions of the songs.

Carolyn also plays as a member of Vagabond Blue with Jill Ducsai, as well as Band 29 with Laurie Jones.

Chuck Farrell
Living in Wolfeboro New Hampshire, Chuck brings his smooth guitar style to the band. Chuck has 20 years of experience in many diverse styles of music, with roots in rock and roll, R and B to folk music. Originally from Ontario, Canada, Chuck now calls central New Hampshire home as he brings his diverse talents to the area. His unique style is a great addition to the band to create a full sound to their music.

Bud Clark
From New Hampshire's Lakes Region, playing bass guitar, Bud brings a strong rhythmic sense and no-frills style to the band's rhythm section. Bud has 30 years of experience in musically diverse styles, from roots rock and R and B to folk and traditional American music. Although originally a guitar player, he has always been tuned into the rhythmic elements of music, so the transition to bass was a natural one.
